Craziest thing you ever saw in a KH?
by dubstepped ini did this in my facebook group for my podcast and it was fun.. so what's the craziest thing you ever saw?.
for me it was watching a brother have a heart attack during the meeting in the auditorium.
i was a kid and noticed him shaking and acting strange.

Just as the OP, we had a brother have a heart attack during the meeting. Ambulance was called, brother taken to the back of the hall to wait for the paramedics, while the meeting simply continued,
On a lighter note, we had a guest speaker from bethel, who needed to use the toilet during his public talk, walked off, urinated, flushed (all could hear), walked back and resumed his talk.

This was the kingdom hall I grew up in, before moving abroad... even helped build it - well whatever help a kid of 10 or so could offer. Thanks so much for posting this.
I heard via-via that they closed the congregation and the folks now had a long commute to their newly assigned congregations...
Jehovah is really blessing the growth in these last of the last days.

Judge has ordered publication of the report to be public. Great that the WT tried to hide and failed, gaining media coverage along the way.

CPAP machines for sleep apnoea.
by zeb ini have used a machine for some years.
they cost a heap.
too often they end up pumping a hot plastic smell out and therefore into my lungs.

I too have a CPAP and have been using for close to 20 years now. This device is fantastic and really gave me my life back. I do not use the humidifyer and let it start full force, rather than the gradual build up. Make sure to change your filters regularly and clean your mask and elestic band at least monthly.
Sounds like you have a faulty device or perhaps it is just not for you. Check with your doctor and/or supplier.

WT is lying about the actual publisher numbers
by JustHuman14 ini left wt, 18 years ago.
never thought that i would have witness such a massive doctrinal and structure changes as well.
i find it hard to recognize that religion.. what i can tell, like all of ex jw's is that wt going down.. their corporate directors know it.

Publisher numbers are artificially kept higher than in the past. for example: Sick and Elderly publishers can report 15 minutes and are pressured to do so. Both parents can count 4 hours a months for family study, regardless if it happens or not...after all they take them to the hall, pray at mealtimes, etc.
Also, it be noted that the elders will generally put one hour on your report if you fail to hand it in. This way you do not become irregular/inactive that easy and they don’t have to explain to the CO when he visits. I have seen this on my own report.
Then the focus shifted from average to peak publishers.
So, at all levels there is some number fudging - individuals, parents, elders...and I am sure this continues going up the ladder. And as commented before, they lie about everything else, why not about the numbers.

Commuter Bethelite video
by no-zombie infor those who missed last weeks clam meeting, there was a video played that was amazing ... however not in good way.. we are all aware how thousands of full time bethelites world wide got the boot and put out onto the street.
some having giving most of their lives to the organization, but often with no real way to support themselves other than to depend on the generosity of others.
so when this video talked about how special it would be for those who could step up and become a commuter bethelite, it made me think how calculating the governing body must be.

Careful: heard this directly from a Dutch bethelite...not the conclusion, but that HQ had assigned McKinsey to review and that they analyzed what an in-house volunteer actually cost

Bethel hired McKinsey to review what efficiencies they could achieve. McKinsey analysed that all the costs of a volunteer added up to roughly $1000 a month (housing, clothing, heating, electricy, water, healthcare). Until then they saw volunteers as free. They then sent most home and now offer the ‘privilege’ of doing this all of nyour own dime. Really sick and twisted, loveless...At least in a ‘worldly’ company you get a severance package.

1975—Were You Affected By What 1975 Was Supposed to Bring?

Big time. After the untimely death of my father in 1969, my mother was lured by the resurrection hope and was told she would see her husband again within years. She was baptized within two years and shortely thereafter sold our house, we waved goodbye to the statue of liberty, to serve in another country. Well, nearly 50 years has passed...
